It’s the most wonderful time of the year! You guys, I have to admit that I’m jolly AF this year lol. Now that Leya is a bit older, she’s really getting the in to the Christmas spirit!(Hooray!) Over the past weekend we decorated the house, the Christmas tree, and I’ve been trying to find the perfect little gifts to fill up the stockings.
Growing up, my family never used to fill up stockings, (which is so sad in my opinion) but now that I’m a mom it’s the perfect time to start this tradition with my family. And, to be completely honest, my parents and Carmen are all down for the ride too, they just needed a little push from yours truly.😉
Stocking stuffers to me are all those little things we may not see as Christmas presents yet are so delighted to get as a gift. Here’s a few ideas of what I’ll be getting the members of my family:
The men- I took a trip to my parents bathroom and looked over their cabinet. My dad has been using the same razor brand for years, so I took note of that and figured a nice after shave would be a good little bonus. Since he’s the supervisor at his job he wears ties from time to time and nice dressy socks so those went in the stocking as well. Here’s some ideas on other products I’ll be throwing in there:
- Cologne
- Shoe shine
- Kiehl’s facial and body products
- Chapstick
- Earbuds
- Beanie
- Belt
- Shoe cleaner
- Watch
- Deodorant
- Shampoo/bodywash
- Boxers/underwear
Ps: Kiehl’s has amazing skin care products for both men and women.
The women- My mother dyes her hair faithfully so I added a box of her fave hair dye to her stocking, along with some of her holy grail skin care facial cream. I will also be adding a few of the things below:
- Perfume
- Travel kit mani/pedi kit (we love at home mani/pedis in our fam),
- Shaving gel
- Deodorant
- Nail polish
- Lipstick/ lip gloss
- Office supplies for grocery lists and notating upcoming bills
- Pop socket
- Wine glasses (Target has some really cute affordable ones in their dollar section!)
- Earbuds
- Eye mask (great for the traveler friend)
- Small blanket
- Candle
- Chocolate
- Candy (you guys I found champagne gummies!!)
- Slippers
-
The kiddos- My daughter goes through her toy phases. The two she has really held on to are Moana and Peppa Pig. Recently though she’s really been in to PJ masks, Shopkins, and Shimmer and Shine. If you’re familiar with Shopkins you know they are almost the perfect stuffer because they are so tiny so win win there! Here’s a few more things I will be adding:
- Candy (M&Ms to be exact)
- Puzzles
- Books
- Slippers
- Pj’s
- Moana’s heart of tefiti necklace (she’s been eyeing this one for a while)
- Bath bubbles
- Bath essentials (shampoo and body wash- surpisingly Leya loves shopping for this)
- Facial cloths (Target’s dollar section has some pretty cool ones that activate with water for both boys and girls)
- Chalk (one of Leya’s fave activity during summer)
- Coloring book
- Crayons
- Washable paint
-
Happy Shopping!
