Hello lovelies! It’s officially a new year…Yay! I hope you all are off to a great start. I have to admit that I was low key struggling after New Years. If you follow me on IG (if you don’t then hurry and go join the fam) then you might of noticed I went out with some friends to Onyx. Nothing beats bringing the New Year with amazing friends and great drinks! BUT, it’s all laughs and giggles at the moment, not so much when your active toddler is up the next day (sigh). I’ve come to the realization that yes, going out is fun, but my body is slowly telling me it can’t take it anymore lol. Moms, can any of you relate or am I just a little by little becoming a grandma? #oldladylife #momlife
Anyway, moving on to the reason why you’re most likely here… I’m really excited because this year I plan on really committing 110% to my blog. I want to post a lot more content. That means being consistent and more engaging with my followers. I know many of you who read are coming from my Instagram or other social medias, so that means you know me pretty well. That also means you know I’m very reserved, aka shy. I don’t say much and tend to keep to myself a lot. My circle is tight, but those of you who are my OG friends and know me best, know exactly how true this is. Basically what I’m trying to say is that this year I want to BREAK out of my shell! In order for me to really interact and connect with others I need to get out of my comfort zone a bit. It will be hard but well worth it in the end. 🙂
Speaking of content, here are a few things you will be seeing more of this year (get excited!):
Fashion- I have always loved dressing up and putting cute pieces together. I even won best dressed in high school- centuries ago lol. I realized I had fallen off that train when I started gaining a bit of weight. Recently though, I have realized that no matter what shape or size you are, you are BEAUTIFUL and can still have a darn cute ootd. These posts will be short, cute, and straight to the point as to why I love it! Oh, and there will always be links to everything so you can feel free to shop it if you like it!
Healthy meals- If you read my last post about tackling a new year, I mentioned that I was determined to lose 30 lbs in three months. I will be meal prepping and working out so I want to bring you on that journey with me! I figured it would be fun to share the recipes of the low carb meals I will be preparing and the work outs I will be doing. Hopefully if you’re starting too this can motivate you or if you are already meal prepping and working out, you can include these in your routines and meals. #sharethelove #letsgetfittogether
Motherhood- As you guys most likely already know, I’m a mom. Recently I was thinking about all these crazy experiences I’ve gone through with my daughter Leya. You’re probably wondering what kind of crazy? Well let’s see, she’ll be 4 this year and is still not fully potty trained, she speaks hardly any Spanish even though I am full Mexican, and she’s one tough picky eater who for the most part only eats mac and cheese and quesadillas. There’s so many things I’ve wanted to share but have held back on because I feel like one, no one cares and two, no one wants to be judged/criticized. That changed today, it dawned on me that maybe there’s someone out there that does care and is going through the same struggles as me, and just maybe I can help that person out there in any way. So this year, I said screw it! I’m going raw with my life as a mom. Some will be funny, some will probably make you cry, but I believe we have a good group of non judgmental moms/people, who are here to support and uplift one another. Right friends?!
Recaps + Series- My love for writing is what started all of this in the first place. I love reading other bloggers’ daily or weekly recaps of what they did or where they went. I think it’s a great way of getting to know the host and their likes and interests. I’m thinking of bringing back my highlight of the week or start doing weekend recaps.
The series part is something I have been wanting to start for months but I just haven’t made the time. I have a few ideas on a several things I want to do a series on, for example I will go to different locations and try the same or similar things and then tell you what place I liked the most. Can you take a guess a what the first one might be? I’ll give you hint, I drink it all the time and it’s meant to wake you up in the morning. 😉 Stay tuned for that!
