Three Simple Ways To Unwind As A Couple.

Sunday’s are made for brunchin! Today’s foodie journey took place at Snooze an A.M. Eatery. Let’s just say we’ll be back for those pineapple upside down pancakes and amazing vibes!

For the past few weeks Byron and I have been going through a bit of a struggle. Not necessarily in our relationship but just life situations. I’d lie if I said it doesn’t take a toll on us, it most certainly does, but we always mange to find a way to come on top.

We’re huge believers in destressers and just unwinding when life gets rough, or when you just have those struggle days as a parent and nothing seems to go right. We get it and we’re right there with you if you’re ever feeling that way. *air hug* With that being said, I thought I’d share three things we love to do whenever we are low key tapping out on life:

  1. Go out to eat- just the two of you. Leya is the best thing that ever happened to us, but sometimes as a parent you not only deserve but need a little break. We’re foodies at heart and love, I mean really LOVE going out to try new places to eat. We love brunchin and dinning (and blogging about it of course) and enjoying time just the two of us.
  2. Being kids at heart. Even though we’re parents, we still love doing kid things. We’re adults but will probably always be kids at heart. Anything that we can have a little friendly competition going, we’ll do. We love mini golfing, bowling, skating, or going down to Belmot Park and stuffing out faces with all things sugar. Friendly competitions are a great way to get your mind off all those problems, that stress, that worry. Let it go and have fun!
  3. Obviously the beach. Sit by the water, or better yet, put your feet in! Enjoy the air, the scent of the ocean, the feeling of the sand on your toes. Can you just picture it? Maybe even grab some coffee. Byron and I love the beach. Something about being by the water is a great way we unwind and perhaps the best place to talk. And yes, it may be cliché but I almost find the sea to be therapeutic. If you haven’t (for any reason) done so yet, do yourself a favor and try it. 🙂

I think at times we look at other people or couples and think they have it all figured out. But that’s not always the case, there’s always going to be hard times but we can ALWAYS find ways to get through them. It all depends on how you both choose to go about them. So next time you’re feelin’ stressed out, grab each other by the hand, get in the car and just drive. Go enjoy yourselves!

Xo, Guadalupe ♥
