Hi y’all! On Wednesday 3/14, I was at Fifty Seven degrees over on Washington St at my second blogger event supporting one the sweetest cruelty free fashion lovers I’ve had the privilege of meeting. I met Leilani at the #CreativeBrunch, hosted by another amazing, super sweet, and talented woman Tiffany Williams (@glitzandglambytiff). Leilani also known as @stylesorbet / leilani_angel on Instagram, was hosting a little pop up shop where she was exposing her love for vegan cruelty free products. For those of you who may not know, vegan products are the animal rights movement. Cruelty-free is a label for products or activities that do not harm or kill animals anywhere in the world. Products tested on animals are not considered cruelty-free, since these tests are often painful and cause the suffering and death of millions of animals every year. Sad right?! She also had tons of fashion pieces made from scraps that are usually thrown out a fashion events as well as recycled glass bracelets. Let’s just say I made a purchase. 🙂
She was also representing the brand Sweet LeiLani (@sweetleilanicosmetics), which is a cruelty free make – up line. Her passion and drive for the movement in vegan/cruelty free products is just so contagious and inspiring. You guys have to check out her page and her products! I know I definitely want to be more involved with the great movement and cause because I love animals and if there’s anything that can be done to not only save their little lives but also creating amazing and healthy beauty products for us then why not do it. #dogood #begood #feelgood
On another note, there was several little shops here of amazing business women selling their products, from clothing, to accessories, to jewelry, to one stick on nail polish strips! Yup, you read right! I mean come on does it get any better and quicker than that? Color Street has the cutest strip on nail designs that I just know y’all will love. They’re so convenient, easy to apply, and affordable. I also had the opportunity to meet the mastermind behind it all, Heidi Hagood. Friendliest woman ever! You guys have to check them out!
