Hi y’all! Two weeks ago, I mentioned I wanted to bring to life a motivational/ uplifting series for Wednesday’s. Wednesdays as you guys know is referred to as hump day or mid week stretch. It’s also a day when I feel a little motivation is appreciated and positive vibes wouldn’t hurt.
I decided to start this series because Wednesday is usually the day I feel a bit sluggish, I kinda get that ‘ugh, it’s only Wednesday,’ type of thought and because I get those thoughts it doesn’t always put me in the best mood to continue to push through the week. So because of that, I wanted to try this out because one I’m done with negativity. Period. This is the year I decided to get out of my own head, and the year I will not allow anyone to get in it.
Ok, with that being said, I want to talk about positivity and motivation! What pushes me and what motivates me to have a great day are a few things:
Family: I know how you feel on those days when you snooze the alarm five times and still don’t want to get up. I know because I have those days too! But every time, I don’t want to get up, I briefly remind myself of why I do. What pushes me? What pushes you?
My daughter is my greatest motivation because not only does she rely on me but she pushes me to go and reminds me why I do what I do. Here a few things that I think about when I just need that boost:
Money- This is kind of an obvious one, I know but I still want to being it up because I think money is a great motivator. With money we can do whatever we want and get whatever we want. Travel, food, clothes, you name it. Money definitely pushes me.
Growth- I see going to work or school as an opportunity to learn new things and overall expand your knowledge. Just yesterday I didn’t go to work because of this terrible cold I’m currently fighting, and I beat myself up for it so much knowing I could of really learned more. But, with that being said also listen to your body. I’m not saying you can’t miss a day lol, it’s all aboit picking and choosing. I’m sure you guys know what I mean. 🙂
Posivity- It’s all about how you talk to yourself. I honestly, just learned this believe it or not from a co worker who I actually consider a good friend now (shout out to you Brandi). Positivity is a choice and it can be a a very good choice if you’re simply positive and optimistic. Tell yourself you can do anything, that you’ll kick ass today, that this week will be great ans trust me it will. Even if something doesn’t go as planned, I find that being positive about it always helps and keeps me in a good mood. Life throws you a lot of curve balls, but it’s up to us how we will accept them and go about them.
I want this series to be inspiring, motivating, uplifting, and positive. I hope these little tips/reminders push you to keep on going. Especially if you’re feeling a little down during the week. I’m here for you!
