Biking through Coronado + Sushi Night Out.

Hello and happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. Things have been out of sort over in our house for the past few days. Byron had a pretty bad argument the weekend before last, and it just left this really bad taste in our mouths over the past few days. We’ve been on a path to sobriety for the past few months and it has definitely presented its challenges. All that means is that we have to work together even harder. The biggest thing we learned about each other was allowing one another to have space to clear our minds and process all our thoughts and feelings.

So, Friday evening we decided it was date night. We headed to our favorite movie spot, The Lot at Liberty Station to watch Star Wars, The Rise of Skywalker. It was epic! So so good. We had a great (uninterrupted toddler) chat and time alone was really nice.

On Saturday, we headed to Coronado and spent the day creating content for the week. After photo shooting was done, we headed towards adventure! Which meant riding this really awesome double pedaling bike. Leya had a blast and we literally got a pretty good work out in.

The one thing I couldn’t exclude out of my fast was coffee. I thought about it, but I just couldn’t (sorry God!). So, we grabbed some iced mocha’s and a chocolate milk for little miss Leya and sat in this pretty outdoor seating they had by the water. It such a good sunny day that we were just living for the vitamin D!

Leya took this picture of us. It’s crazy how much she’s grown and all she can do now!

After Coronado, we headed to our local library to check out some books. We got so carried away that we ended up driving to two other libraries to check out more books! We started reading to Leya since she was a little baby, so bed time stories are a must for her before bed.

Once Sunday rolled around, we got up early and headed to church. We made a change to our time, and have been going at 10 am as opposed to 6 pm. We’ve really been enjoying brunching or grabbing breakfast afterwards. Speaking of breakfast, after church we headed to the Hillcrest Market to snap a picture of another IG post you guys will see this week, hint hint it involves coffee lol, but I had the opportunity to try this really delicious waffle with cookie butter! It was my first time ever having cookie butter and it was life changing. I wish I could of snapped a picture of it but Byron and I literally inhaled it. If you haven’t had cookie butter before, you must!

Dinner time rolled around and I had a scheduled date with my dad. I love that we always make time to spend it with each other. We’re major sushi fans so we headed to Sushi Deli 3, which is our go to spot and indulged on sushi and drinks. My brother was able to join us this time, so we had the opportunity to really catch up and enjoy each other’s company.

My dad ordered a spicy mussel ramen (yum!) and my brother got sashimi.
I always get the San Diego roll it’s deep friend spicy yummy goodness.

Well friends, I hope you all had a great weekend, were productive, or just took the opportunity to lounge and relax if that’s what you were needing. Now we’re back to the grind, so let’s make it an amazing week!

Till’ the next post!
