Jar Idea: Wardrobe Essential.

It has been quite a week. Last Friday, my mother got really sick with what seemed to be a stomach flu. I had to take her to the hospital Saturday afternoon as she’s a diabetic and has not been able to hold any food down, and has a crazy amount of pain. Today marks a week with those symptoms and as much as taking off work feels like I’m sitting on pins and needless, here I am taking care of her and praying her health improves.

But anyway, shifting on to something more upbeat. I pulled a “jar idea” a few days ago and the blog post idea was a “wardrobe essential.” Hands down, that clothing item is a jean jacket. I’m still on the hunt for a darker non distressed waist length (I know, getting real specific here) jacket.

My latest purchase was this bomber embroidered jean jacket during the fall season last year and I have been obsessed with it. It’s slightly above the waist, just the perfect amount of oversized, and I love the embroidery detail. It’s from American Eagle and they’ve always had amazing quality jean jackets. I found that is very very similar one, it doesn’t have the embroidery but same color and bomber style. Linked here.

I’ve been obsessed with mix and matching patterns and this bomber is perfect for that. Lately, when I purchase clothing items, I ask myself, “can I come up with 2-4 different ways to style this item?” If the answer is yes, then it’s a good investment. If the answer is no, then maybe it’s not the wisest purchase.

Some of my favorite stores to look for jean jackets are at H&M, Zara, Nasty Gal, Forever 21 and American Eagle of course. I find that these places all have a great and even sometimes more exclusive items online. Meaning things you just don’t see in store.

Lastly, just wanted to share some of my looks with other jean jackets:

Till’ the next post!
