Brownie Pie with Leya + Jo.

Baking holds a very special place in my heart. You know, the funny thing is I didn’t grow up baking, you would think right? I didn’t grow up being too involved in the kitchen at all actually. My mom actually hates cooking, she does it out of sheer necessity. You know, she has a husband and kid to feed… well not anymore, but you get the point. My mom is not a very good teacher either, she lacks tons of patience. Funny thing is, I’m quite the opposite. I LOVE to cook and bake. There’s this special feeling about creating something out of some simple ingredients that just makes me…

    Sweet Coffee Pick Me Up.

Calling all coffee loversss! As we all know Monday’s are possible thanks to coffee! You guys know that I’m a sucker for anything coffee, even coffee ice cream.. but as delicious as it is, it’s not always the healthiest option (thanks a lot sugars). I’ve been on a healthier streak lately loving it! Bur cutting out the sweet stuff is hard sometimes (a lot of the time actually). I’ve been browsing the grocery isles lately trying to find something that would scream out healthy and delicious and thus came Halo Top ice cream! Quick n’ Easy Banana Cinnamon Pancakes

I loveee to cook, but making breakfast food and deserts has to be my all time favorite. Now that I’m a mom, breakfast is a must meal in my book. During the week, unfortunately I don’t have time to make a full breakfast meal, but during the weekend I get down! My daughter Leya is one picky eater,  so at times meals can really be a challenge. However, I love taking on the challenges to create new breakfast meals that she enjoys. At first she was really diggin’ good ol’ regular pancakes, but after a while it’s as if she was over them. Which to be honest, I completely understand.…

    Labor Day’s Enchiladas Suizas

In my family we’re all about fresh, home-made food. My mom is a very old school traditional woman who doesn’t believe in taking shortcuts when it comes to cooking. I never understood or appreciated that until I moved out on my own when I was 18 and realized that taking those “short cuts” did make meals faster but they were not even close to being as delicious as her meals made from scratch. My parents have great sazón, and even though they bicker every time they cook together they’re truly a dynamic duo in the kitchen. One of my all time favorite dishes my parents make are enchiladas. Almost every…

    Tasty Gems

What an exciting weekend this has been! I finally buckled down, turned my taste buds on, and took my food lovin’ butt out to try some places that have been on my radar for quite some time now. I’m a sucker for coffee, especially if it’s in a cute coffee shop. But I also love to wine and dine at a restaurant with a good vibe and killer view.  I was on a mission this weekend to try two coffee shops and two places to dine in. Let’s just say it was a major success and I absolutely recommend you check them out too! Breakfast/Lunch 8/12: I have been driving…

Foodie comes out to the world.

Being able to finally expose my inner foodie just makes me so happy. A few days ago, I took a mini vacation to Universal Studios, and I must admit that I was excited about going back to the park after so many years, but honestly I was slightly more excited about finding new delicious places to eat. What better place than L.A. to be on the hunt for some yummy goodness, right? Well, here’s what I fell in love with. Blue Jam Café– This place is amazing. There are several plus’ in my book to this place. One being the food of course, the location, and it serves breakfast all…
